Series are quite popular these days because they give you a first book that you love and then you can’t wait for the next book to be published. Some series’ first book finish with a cliff hanger so you are sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book. The following books are five popular series of books. The first three are my recommendations and the last two are from our wonderful librarian Ms. Jessica.

Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan
The series Ranger’s Apprentice is so good. I’m reading all the books again for the fifth time. In these books, you get the perfect mixture of adventure, mystery, fantasy and thrill. The characters go on all sorts of adventures in quite a few lands and find a problem and then find an amazing solution. As far as friends come in books, this series is quite a special friend to me.

Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens
This series is wonderful. I started reading it last year in the library but it was in high demand so there weren’t many books on the shelves. I then asked my mum to buy me the series. The books are so funny and real. They are filled with mystery, drama and amazing detective skills. The way Daisy and Hazel (the main characters) solve the crimes is amazing.

Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery
These books are full of tragedy, happiness, laughter, and amazing drama. They start with Anne as a little girl coming to Green Gables and the rest of the books carry on to show her growing up until the last one where you see Anne as a proud mother of six children. The books show you how Anne and her friends overcome their problems and fix all their issues. I have all these books at home and they are great to read and enjoy.

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend
This is the first book in a fabulous series. I was completely drawn into Morrigan’s world from the moment I opened this book. I regularly recommend it to TISA students in M1 – DP2 as well as adults around the world! It is a great book for fans of the Harry Potter series.

The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
The first book in a magical fantasy series, The Golden Compass is a classic adventure story that has been enchanting readers for 25 years. This book has been adapted as both a movie and a series, so you can check those out after you read the book to see how others have brought this special world to life.
